ハルカは、自分の大切なポケモンたちをバトルに参加させることに強い抵抗があるため、ポケモンコーディネーターになりたいと思っています。ところがある日、彼女は突然ポケモンバトルに誘われ、敗北してしまいました。勝ったトレーナーが勝利の報酬を求めたとき、ハルカはお金を持っていないことに気づきました。それ以来、勝利報酬を別の方法で支払えることを知ったハルカは、ポケモンバトルを楽しむようにはなりましたが、勝ちたいという気持ちはまったくありません。
May wants to become a Pokémon Coordinator because she is very reluctant to let her beloved Pokémon participate in battles. However, one day she was persuaded to take part in a spontaneous Pokémon battle, which she lost. When the victorious trainer demanded a prize for winning, she realized that she had no money with her. Ever since May found out there’s another way to settle a victory prize, she has started to enjoy Pokémon battles — but she has absolutely no motivation to win them.
